Exit Interview

1. Which assignments did you enjoy and why? 

I enjoyed the photoshop and premier pro because
they were the most fun. The pop out photoshop
was fun to make and it looked really cool.
The slideshows were also fun to make because
they weren't that hard compared to other things
we did this year

2. Which assignments did you struggle with and why? 

I struggled with sketch up because the website
was slightly buggy so I had to restart twice and it was
also boring after the first few projects.

3. Report Card Comment



What should your report card comment say? 

Diego did all his work and did a good job. He was
a bit of a distraction sometimes but still did good
in this class.

Play Day 2

Play Day 2 1.What specifically did you do today I just gathered more resources mainly. I went to an island and got some flowers. I went underwater looting and got metal copper, clay and sand. I am trying to make a smelter at the moment.
2. What did you learn? I learned how to bait a shark to go underwater looting. I also learned how to paddle to an island and get flowers and watermelons.
3. What strategies are you going to focus on tomorrow? I am going to make a smelter so I can smelt metal for high tier loot and try to make my raft bigger. I will also work on being more efficient on underwater looting.
4. I added a large crop plant and some walls and more catchers. I added the crop plant so I can  grow food and more catchers so I can get more resources.

Play Day 4 1. If you were to start over. 1. Gather Resources 2. Craft a Hammer 3. Expand my boat 4. Craft a purifier 5. Craft a cup 6. Craft a grill 7. Eat and drink 8. Gather Resources 9. Get a spear(Fight Shark)  10. Get a fishing rod
2.What is the best tool to make for survival? In my opinion the most important tool in the game is the hook, you use it for getting items in the water which are used for everything and you use it for mining underwater for better loot.
3. My raft The best feature is the hog mask because it is proof I found animal island.

Play Day 3

Play Day 3 1. What New Things Did You Build Today I build a smelter which smelts copper ore, metal ore sand and seawead. It is very usefull for obtaining the ugraded versions of each tool and for crafting more useful items in general like the oxygen mask which requires vine goo.
2. How will these new things help you play the game  The smelter allows me to craft better loot like the scrap hook,metal spear, water purifier(upgraded), radio transmitter and much more. It turns metal ore and copper ore to bars and sand into glass and seawead into vine goo.
3. What strategies are you going to focus on tomorrow.     I'm going to find more copper and metal so I can get the upgraded version of each item and try to make the radio so I can find utopia and animal island.
4. My Raft My raft is pretty much the same but with more catchers and a nest and a smelter have been added. I'll make a house on it next class and a higher floor so I  can reach the top of an island.

Play Day 1

Play Day 1 1. What specifically did you do? I started off by gathering trash in the water and finding the best way to use the hook. I crafted a hammer and expanded my boat. Then I got a purifier and a grill so I would't die then I just grinded for loot and made a research table. 2.What did you learn? I learned how to survive without starving or getting dehydrated and how to expand my boat. Also to research stuff for future items. A tip is to go for  barrels, they have food and lots of loot

3. What strategies are you going to focus on?                 I am going to try to get better at hooking loot and I'm going to try and  kill the shark with a spear. Also, going to try and find an island. 4. This is my raft, it is a basic 3 x 3 with a  grill purifier and research table, I will try  and expand it tomorrow .

Cup Comparison  The upgraded cup can store 5x the water which is why it is good. It also can be researched so you can make oxygen tank and binoculars with it. It costs 5 vine goo but is definitely worth it
Hook Comparison The scrap hook is a beast. It can reach farther and it is twice as fast and it lasts longer. It is very useful for underwater looting as it gets sand,clay,scrap super fast. It is a must have for late game.
Axe Comparison The upgraded axe swings faster and lasts longer. It is useful for gathering more trees at one time and is overall just better than the first axe. I crafted it so I don't have to craft axes so frequently.
Water Purifier Comparison The upgraded water purifier might take a while to obtain as you need to smelt 4 sand for glass. However it might be the most useful upgrade. It stores 5x the water and requires no fuel. You will never  dehydrate with this purifier.
Grill comparison The advanced grill can cook 3x the amount of food at once and can cook catfish and salmon which keep you fed for a long time. You will never starve once you get this grill.

Game Journalism #1 - Raft
In raft you are stuck in the middle of the ocean using a hook to  collect debris to expand your raft and survive through starvation,  dehydration and shark attacks. Today I learned how to play ,I mainly collected loot and made a purifier and grill. I need  to try and find an island for more rare loot next class.
Debris Collecting
The whole basis of the game start off by hooking, in order to collect debris using the hook, you hold left mouse to charge how far  you throw, release to throw and hold left click to reel in the loot. The higher you look up the farther it will go.
The different types of debris
Wooden Planks: Most useful item in the game, used for  expanding raft and tools mainly Leafs: Used for crafting rope which is important for  creating fishing rods and catching nets. Plastic: Needed for expanding raft and other various tools and a cup. Barrels:They have lots of loot and some food. (Get them)
My Raft
Just a standard 3 by 3 raft at the moment I have what I need  to survive and a research table. I will try to make a second floor and catching nets for more loot next class
Near Death Experience
I jumped in the water at first not knowing there was a  shark and nearly died. Pro tip don't fight the shark.
Shark Munching my Boat
Every 5-10 minutes the shark will much your boat  and take out one of your floors. I'll try to make a spear next class in order to defend my raft
